Most of our bedrooms are en suite. The entire guest house has been sympathetically and tastefully converted from the school it once was, with the comfort of the guests in mind.

For us, there is nowhere in the Lake District quite like Ravenglass. The magical mixture of sand and sea against a backdrop of Lake District fells has always attracted us, ever since our first visit in 1959. Beautiful Wasdale, voted Britain's favourite view, is only a 20 minute drive away, while Scafell Pike, the Lake District's highest peak, is easily accessible.
Discerning tourist are discovering that the Western Lake District has all the Lake District's inherent appeal but without the drawbacks of congested roads and overloaded amenities.
There are many attractive walks directly from the Guest House, for all abilities, from ambles to strenuous hill walking. We have maps and books available for guests' use and are only too happy to offer advice if required.
